Four Avenues of Service - International Service

The Joplin Rotary Club not only "gives" to our local area, but also to the international community.  Here are a few of our 2007 efforts.

Reception of International Students:  A reception in honor of all the international students at MSSU, Crowder, and OCC to promote good will and honor these students.  It also conveys to them the international scope of Rotary around the world.

International Exchange Program:  Several of our members hosted business leaders from Romania to promote good will, understanding, and assist them with their economic growth.

Heifer Project:  We give money to assist needing families in 3^rd world countries to acquire cows, chickens, goats, etc.  This provides food and a method of income in an effort to change the life of this family.

Medical Equipment Network:  Assist in acquisition and distribution of used medical equipment to fulfill needs around the world.  The district 6110 warehouse is located in Tulsa where equipment it is inventoried and sent overseas.  We ship several containers a quarter.
